Majestic South of Peru - Machupicchu & Puno 7 days

Discover mysterious and majestic south of Peru in 7 days. You will experience its rich culture, nature, and visit some of the most beautiful places on earth. The program is designed to explore the best of the preserved Machu Picchu which is one of the ´seven world wonders´. You will also experience many wonderfully preserved ruins and small traditional villages of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After this you will visit Lake Titicaca, the largest and highest lake in South America at an altitude of 3,812 meters. Lake Titicaca has stunning views and you will also visit traditional villages located on the lake. This tour will allow you to experience Peru’s stunning scenery, traditional live and rich history.

Day 1:     Lima – Cusco
Day 2:     Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Machupicchu
Day 3:     Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Day 4:     Cusco – Puno
Day 5:     Puno – Lake Titicaca - Uros - Amantani
Day 6:     Puno – Amantani – Lima
Day 7:    Puno - Lima domestic flight

Itinerary:

Day 1: Lima – Cusco

we pick you up in your hotel in Lima or you can go directly to the airport of Lima, the capital city of Peru
When you arrive to Cusco we pick you up in the Cusco airport to provide you transport service to your hotel where you will stay
Where you will be welcomed by coca tea. You will have some time off to acclimatize and the we organize the city tour from 13:30 pm to 18:30 where you will visit the colonial town: Plaza de Armas which it was the sacred plaza of the Incas and the monastery of Santo Domingo, Qoricancha or Inticancha, the Temple of the sun in the Andean time where we preserved the authentic Inka buildings then we continue around Cusco to visit the archeological sites as Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pucapucará and Tambomachay and we back to the hotel in Cusco

Day 2: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Machupicchu

we pick you up in the hotel after the breakfast at 8am to go to visit the Pisaq the Inka city where we visit all the religious site, agriculture site and the agriculture site after this visit we continue to the Pisaq market for your souvenir here you will find a great variety of handicrafts like clothes of alpaca, carpets, ponchos, covers, furnishings, minerals and stones, jewelry, etc. The lunch will be served in a restaurant in Urubamba in the sacred valley.  In the afternoon we will visit the archeological group of Ollantaytambo. This fortress was used as cultural, administrative, religious and military center in the Tahuantinsuyo period then we have free time to go to take our train to Machupicchu at 19 hours to get Machupicchu at 8:45 pm, Machupicchu town or Aguas Calientes  will be the places to speeding the night in a hotel

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Today you are going to visit Machu Picchu town  Early in the morning you will take the first bus to have the beautiful views at Machupicchu with a  professional guide will lead you through the impressive Machu Picchu. This will be a unique experience. The guide will show you the walls with many stones, the mystery about the construction of the stones and other peculiarities. You will return by bus and have lunch in the town afterwards; you will take the train to Ollantaytambo, from where you will go by bus to Cusco. This night will be spending in a hotel in Cusco.
Included: Hotel, breakfast, guide, bus to up and down to Machupicchu town, entrances to the archeological Machupicchu, train to Cusco
Not included: Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Cusco – Puno

after the breakfast we go to the bust station at 6:30am to take our tourist bus to Puno. During the trip you get great views of the Peru of the highlands called Altiplano between Cusco and Puno in the way we stops many time, in first one will be in Andahuaylillas (famous temple compare with the Sixtina and called it as chapel Sixtina de America, which has miraculous religious art); the with stop in Raqchi (monumental Inca Temple); then la Raya at 4313 m. (border of the highlands of Cusco and Puno) the finally we stop for our lunch in Sicuani after the lunch you will visit the Pukara museum before to get Puno  go to your hotel where you get some time

Day 5: Puno – Lake Titicaca - Uros – Amantani

we pick you up at 7am to make an excursion by boat on the Titicaca Lake where you will visit Uros floating Islands where people living have constructed their islands and homes entirely of reeds from the lake and They continue with their traditional style of living from the lake by fishing and harvesting lake plants. Afterwards you board the boat and visit the Amantani Island where we spend the night with the local people house in a private room
Included: breakfast, guide, bus, boat, entrances to Uros, Amantani. Lunch, accommodation and diner

Day 6: Puno – Amantani – Taquile  -Puno

After our breakfast we continue by boat to visit Taquile Island where you pass the time visiting small workshops and traditional local live of the Taquile Island where we have lunch in the typical restaurant after the lunch we back to our boat to back to Puno to be there at 16 hours
Included: Guide, bus, boat, entrances to Taquile, and lunch
Not included:  Dinner

Day 7: Puno – Lima

We have to go the Juliaca airport 40 minutes from Puno to take our plane
Included: flight tickets to Lima and Transfer to the airport
Included: breakfast

Additional information:
Domestic flights will be executed by LCP Peru & Lan Peru.
Domestic flights can be modified because of different circumstances. In this case the program will be rescheduled as same as possible.
We appreciate receiving your passport copy number when making the reservation. This is necessary for arranging both flights and entrances to Machupicchu.
